I haven't blogged in 7 years....funny I just decided to click the blogspot link. Thought it would have expired by now. Well nope, still ride, don't race, just live for TNWC with the Expowheelmen.

Check out the new 2016 Crocket..

It's about 7 lbs heavier then my Madone...but loving the disc brakes and the ride (not the best for climbing hills).

See you again in 7 years!

S-Moot(s)-h

I received a used Moots Vamoots SL a few weeks ago and built it up with some sram red shifters and rear derailer(I can never spell this word!). I also have a DA drive train which actually works well with the sred. A few weeks ago I got back into the training mode and this past week I picked up the pace. 1+ Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 2 hours on Saturday. And a nice 2 hour ride on Sunday with Jeff & Troy(no time for a nice 4+ hour ride). It was a pleasure riding the Titanium Moots, the thing was smooth and responsive especially with my Mavic Premium SL with some Swalbe 'R's. Jeff and Troy have been training for the Providence Marathon, their avg hr were well below mine. WTF!

...now no more excuses, I need to ramp up the training and need a new goal! Maybe Green Mountain!

TI! coming soon!

Picked up the training this week, nothing to exciting just putting in the efforts! I need to spend about 3-4 more weeks in-doors. My doctor would like me to remain off the "Road" for a few more weeks (4) before I try to use my shoulder again...we'll see.

I did treat myself to a little bike lust over the last few days...will be posting images soon.

The comeback!

It's been awhile since my last post...

My training was the most inconsistent in 3 years, illness(bronchitis, sinus infections, etc.). I did get my conditioning to the point were I was ready for the 3/4 criterium race in Plainville CT. Unfortunately, about 40 minutes into the race I was pinched going into the 1st corner of the course and hit the pavement and then my shoulder smacked the curb which snapped my collar bone. So, after two weeks of dealing with a funky looking shoulder, I went under the knife. Two days after surgery and some pain killers, I'm ready for the comback....Originally I had my sights set on Battenkill for my 1st 'A' priority race now I need to pick a different race. We'll see...

...oh yah..to the guy the pinched me..thanks! Shit happens but you could at least have checked on how I was doing.

My First Podium

To most racers this is no big deal, but to me it was pretty cool. I did my sixth race and ended up getting 3rd in 4/5 39+. Been racing for two years and finally got some points(4). Came inches from getting the top step...but my sprinting needs a little more work.

...My trainings been going pretty well. The last few races I've been able to cover most of the moves and also do some attacking.

March racing....

It's March and I have three races under my belt, 2 in Bethel, CT. I did two races back to back in Bethel like most of the racers. But two races with a killer little bump in the road hurts after 55 laps going all out. Great racing, unfortunately, a bit too far for me to travel every Sunday. I did my first Plainville Spring Series race, 4/5 39+, it was a blast...as was the wind!

Did a bit of attacking and went for the win on the last lap, but left a bit too early and got crushed! Live and learn..can't wait until next week!
